This study explores the key factors influencing household willingness to adopt renewable energy technologies in the residential sector of Tashkent. Based on a survey of 400 households and analyzed using binary probit regression models, the research reveals that middle-aged, highly educated, and higher-income individuals are more inclined to adopt renewable energy solutions at home. Interestingly, gender and marital status do not appear to significantly affect adoption decisions. Among various policy instruments, tax deductions emerge as the most effective incentive for encouraging renewable energy uptake, outperforming direct energy subsidies. By focusing on consumer intention, the study identifies a potentially responsive market segment that could drive the expansion of renewable energy adoption in Uzbekistan’s urban residential areas.
